Copyright Noice
Authors who publish in this journal agree to the following terms:
- Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
- Authors can enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
- Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) before and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and more extraordinary citations of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
Author(s) Rights
As a journal author, you have rights to an extensive range of uses of your article, including use by your employing institute or company. These Author rights can be exercised without the need to obtain specific permission. Authors publishing in Ecodev have broad rights to use their works for teaching and scholarly purposes without needing to seek approval, including use for classroom teaching by the Author or Author's institution and presentation at a meeting or conference and distributing copies to attendees; use for internal training by author's company; distribution to colleagues for their research use; use in a subsequent compilation of the author's works; inclusion in a thesis or dissertation; reuse of portions or extracts from the article in other works (with full acknowledgment of final article); preparation of derivative works (other than commercial purposes) (with full disclosure of final article); voluntary posting on open web sites operated by author or author's institution for scholarly purposes (should follow CC by SA License).
Authors can copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format and remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially. Still, they must give appropriate credit (cite the article or content), provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. If you remix, transform or build upon the material, You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
Copyright Transfer Agreement (for Publishing)
The Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, copyright publishing of the article shall be assigned/transferred to the Journal of Economic Development (Ecodev) and Universitas Bung Hatta as Publisher of the journal. Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to complete a 'Copyright Transfer Agreement' (see more information on this). An e-mail will be sent to the corresponding author confirming receipt of the manuscript and a 'Copyright Transfer Agreement' form by an online version of this agreement. Journal of Economic Development (Ecodev), Universitas Bung Hatta, and the International Advisory Editorial Board make every effort to ensure no inaccurate or misleading data, opinions, or statements be published in the journal.
In any way, the contents of the articles and advertisements published in the Journal of Economic Development (Ecodev) are the sole and exclusive responsibility of their respective authors and advertisers. Remember, even though we ask for a transfer of copyright, our journal authors retain (or are granted) significant scholarly rights, as mentioned before.
